Tour around Sant Llorenç de Montgai Reservoir
This route of the Sant Llorenç de Montgai reservoir will take you to discover the surrounding vegetation and the fauna that lives there. You can also enjoy unique views of the Segre river, the Paret de l'Ós and the mountain ranges of Mont-roig and Monteró.
It is a walking route of 8.9 kilometers, circular and of low difficulty, ideal to do it with the family. The duration is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, with very little slope.
During the excursion you will get to know the archaeological site of the Roca dels Bous and you will take a walk among poplars until you cross the bridge over the Segre river. You will pass through a beautiful place of riverside vegetation, white pine forests and old cultivated fields until you get to know the varied fauna that inhabits the Natural Reserve of the Wildlife of Sant Llorenç de Montgai. Throughout the route you can enjoy several views of the mountains surrounding the reservoir, such as the Serra de Monteró and Sant Cristòfol, and the more distant as the Serra del Mont-roig.
Although it is an ideal route to do on foot, there is also the possibility of doing it in BTT (doing some sections on foot).
Cresta Disblia
Sant Llorenç de Montgai is a magical place for all climbing lovers! The area has a wide range of crests, via ferratas and walls of all varieties and difficulties.
The Cresta Disblia or Cresta Tío María is a climbing route with good equipment and very entertaining without much difficulty (V+), perfect to start your experience on ridges.
The route of the ridge is about 150 meters with a drop of 60 meters. The ascent lasts approximately 3 hours with a return of only 10 minutes. From the top you can enjoy magical views of the reservoirs of Sant Llorenç de Montgai and Camarasa at your feet and the imposing mountains that surround them.
